Swimwear: Upcycled Swimsuits
These suits are made from cutting up 100% polyester suits with worn-out elastic, and sewing them into new suits with new elastic.
100% polyester fabric is very durable for swimwear because it withstands chlorine and sun exposure without stretching out or losing color. However, eventually the elastic in swimsuits wears out and the suits are no longer wearable. I made these suits by taking 100% polyester suits with worn-out elastic, cutting them up, and sewing them into new suits with new elastic.
