Pattern: Butterick 5779
Fabric: Scalloped sequins on mesh
For this wedding dress, I found a heavily discounted clearance fabric at JoAnn's and bought 5 yards. The heaviness of the sequins on this fabric inspired my choice in style of dress to sew. This pattern needed lots of modification in the back and shoulder strap area in order to get it to fit properly. THe sewing required is fairly simple and straightforwards, so I was able to complete this dress in two days (not including the mock-up dress that I did in one day beforehand).
Fabric:
sequined scalloped fabric overlay
charmeuse under layer
stretch knit lining
Changes:
opened back, then raised lower back and changed back angle
cut front pieces into top and bottom
shortened back behind armpit
