I used "Baby Rainbow" yarn by Loops & Threads to crochet two scarves. I used the colors "Twilight Blue" and "Silver Dollar". Each scarf used two balls of yarn. The yarn is very soft, but it is also very thin, so it took a long time to crochet these projects. This is a baby yarn that is marketed for making baby blankets, clothing, and accessories. Since it is a very delicate yarn and only hand-washable, not machine washable, I would not choose it for making baby products. However, I do recommend the yarn for scarves or other products that are worn lightly and do not have to be washed excessively. This is a yarn that I would buy again because I love how soft it is and it would be great to use with a decorative crochet stitch.
Pros:
-very soft yarn
-comfy for scarves
-nice selection of solid colors available
Cons:
-lot of "manufacturer knots" in two of the skeins
-the threads split very easily when working with the yarn
-it is not machine washable. Why would you make a baby yarn specifically for baby clothes/accessories out of a yarn that cannot be machine-washed?
-thin yarn, so it takes awhile to make projects
I bought this yarn from Michaels, which gives the following info about the yarn:
