Yarn Review: Bernat Blanket Confetti Yarn

I crocheted one large blanket and one baby blanket with Bernat Blanket Confetti Yarn from the "Color by Nature Collection". The confetti yarn consists of thin string with "confetti" balls attached wrapped around regular Bernat blanket yarn. This yarn is thick, so it is a great choice if you want to make blankets quickly. I bought "Vapor Confetti" color, which was 50% off at Michael's and advertised as a "limited time only" yarn. I crocheted the large blanket using 7 balls of yarn and a size 5.75mm crochet hook. I crochet the baby blanket using 3 balls of yarn and a size 5.75 mm crochet hook.

Pros:

-machine washable

-thick, warm yarn, so a great choice for blanket yarn

-cute "confetti" texture

Cons:

-expensive and not a lot of yardage per ball (176 yards, full price=$9.99/ball)

-lots of knots in the balls that I bought

-limited selection of colors

-limited-time yarn, so can no longer find this in stores

I bought this yarn from Michaels, which gives this info about the yarn:
